2022 Audi A4

Following a 13-horsepower performance enhancement of the Audi A4, as well as several technology updates, the A4 enters the 2022 model year with more streamlined packaging.

To enhance the sporty appeal for the 201-horsepower A4 40 TFSI model, a Black optic package has now been made available as an option. For 2022, the 261-horsepower A4 45 TFSI now adds the previously optional sport suspension, which lowers the vehicle height by 23mm, as standard equipment, and combines interior trim inlays into various packages to remove standalone inlay options. The S4 returns in 2022 with standard Carbon atlas inlays.

The midsize model looks dynamic and sophisticated thanks to the design language updates. Almost every piece of sheet metal on the exterior of the A4 was transformed in model year 2021. The Singleframe grille is broader and flatter and underneath the headlights are larger air inlets that point narrowly inward.

Audi smartphone interface with wireless Apple CarPlay, lane departure warning, and the integrated toll module are now available and included as standard equipment. The ITM is a toll transponder built into the vehicle's rearview mirror, allowing drivers to access compatible toll roads services in the U.S. and in parts of Canada.

The Convenience package includes a heated steering wheel and parking system plus (front and rear parking sensors). The Premium Plus trim is standard equipped with adaptive cruise control with active lane assist, top view camera system, and hands-on detection steering wheel. Heated rear seats are now standard on the Prestige trim across the A4/S4 model line.

The 3.0-liter TFSI engine in the S4 delivers 349 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. It's mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission that is well suited for the low-end torque of the V6. Every Audi S4 is standard equipped with quattro all-wheel drive.
